The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance.al-Qur’an 9:18
The Imam al-Asr Masjid has been a cornerstone of the Washington D.C. community for over 25 years, serving individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. To better meet the evolving needs of our growing community, we have embarked on an inspiring journey—by the grace of Allah (SWT) and the support of our dedicated members—to establish a distinctive Masjid. This new space will not only accommodate the diverse needs of our local communities but also advance our mission to foster spiritual growth, unity, and service.

Fulfilling Community Needs
- Community Hub: The masjid and seminary serve as the heart of our community’s spiritual and intellectual life, providing a space for worship, education, and connection.
- Space Requirements: With our community now exceeding 400 members and expected to grow further, we urgently need more space for programs, a dining area, and parking to accommodate this expansion.
- Central Location: A centrally located facility with convenient access from nearby areas is essential to better serve the community’s needs.
- Educational Growth: The school’s expansion is vital to meet the demands of our growing community, ensuring future generations receive the education they need.
- Recreation and Youth Engagement: Currently, we lack an indoor space for sports and recreational activities. Expanding these facilities is crucial to support our youth programs, attract participation, and nurture the next generation, who are the future of our community.
- Community and Outreach Activities: A multi-purpose, well-equipped building that supports religious, cultural, recreational, and outreach activities will foster a cohesive, inclusive, and spiritually enriched community environment.
Location
The new masjid location is central to major urban areas in Washington D.C. Metro area.
